March 4 - Homework

Reading: Elephant Run - Read up through page 210; continue to fill in inference wheel;
Work on Independent Reading Goal - Semester Ends March 15th

Social Studies: Have questions and answers for interview. Practice your questions and answers!
The interviews will start tomorrow!  Remember to put yourself in character! Practice! Practice! Practice! [practice volume, rate, articulating your words, eye contact]

Language Arts: School Speech Contest - Be thinking about a person you would want to write and give a speech about!

Select on person who has overcome an obstacle in life, like a physical or mental disability or a difficult situations. You may choose someone you know, or someone nationally famous.  This person may be living today or someone from history. 

* What challenges did this person face?  (Consider physical or mental limitations: or racial, gender or cultural discrimination)

* How were the problems overcome? (Explain what the person did to prevail over the situation, and how other people helped or hindered the person made to society.)
* Did the person achieve a significant goal? (Consider what contribution the person made to society.)
