October 26

Reading - Read for 1/2 hour - As you are reading find two examples of showing not telling in the story! You will be sharing with the class so choose the one that you think is the best example.

Language Arts: Do a prewriting activity for your narrative writing. List all the important information you think should be included in your story. (setting, characters, important events, feelings. etc. )

Study your spelling words!!! Test on Friday! Students only have 5 words and have learned strategies for helping them remember.

Students who are working on the Book Talk should have the 3rd paragraph done. This should be major events that you want to share with your audience! What events do your listeners need to know to understand the story! Your closing paragraphs should be what you think the author does well. This could be the showing not telling.
