Writing:
Students need to work on adding evidence for each paragraph. They should have at least two pieces of evidence for each reason. (This could be an example from their own life, a quote from an article, or from asking another peer, which they are given the opportunity to do in class. A couple of students have even asked a teacher and have included what they said into one of their paragraphs.)
Reading: Read for 1/2 hour working towards independent reading goal!!
Math: Students can also go to the blog, where there is a link on the right hand side, to practice their math facts!

Work on opinion writing ~ We didn't get a chance to work on it today so we will shoot for Monday as our due date! Students should have their 4th paragraph done at this point.
Spelling: Study Unit 19 spelling words! Test tomorrow!
Math: I put a link on the blog for math. (Multiplication and Reaching Math goals~ over towards the right of the page) Students know where to go. One link is for students to practice their math facts and the other link is for students to choose from different concepts such as geometry or measurement. There are games where students can practice certain standards at their grade level or they can choose a higher grade level to challenge themselves. They can also choose a lower level if they want to brush up on certain areas.
