Reading: Read for 1/2 hour working towards reading goal;
In reading we have been learning how to make inferences. Today we listened to the story, Fly Away Home, and made a great deal of inferences. Some inferences we made were: The boy had hope that he would some day have a home again. The father and the boy would go to difference places in the airport so they would not be noticed, and the boy was a thoughtful and caring person. We based our inferences on what was in the text and our schema!
Social Studies: Students have been learning about Hoover Dam. Ask your child to show you Hoover Dam with Google Earth! It is really cool!
