Spelling: Unit 5 - 2nd page ~ Many students did not take advantage of the time they had in class to work on this so please ask your child if they have finished it. There will not be a spelling quiz tomorrow because we have only had two days to work with the words. We are shooting for next Tuesday.

Writing: Students will be writing a poem about the road or driveway. We are modeling what Jack did in the book, Love that Dog and the poem we read, Street Music by Arnold Adoff. We brainstormed a lot of ideas in class today.

Spelling: Unit 4 study the words for a spelling quiz on Friday
Math: I went through each student's math book, to check on progress and many students have pages to work on. I put a sticky on the front of each math book to let students know what pages to work on.
Reading: Students will be sharing a favorite poem tomorrow. They were supposed to bring home the book the poem was in to practice reading it outloud. We have been discussing a lot about poetry, and students should be using the punctuation to help them with expression. Also how the stanzas are structured may also help them, especially if it is a concrete poem.
