March 11 - Homework

Students were given summer camp scholarship forms which are provided by the Hancock Point Chapel Society.  There are summer camps for Science, Math, Nature, Outer Space, Music, and Theater!  Please ask your child to show you the form!!
Each class in the school is raising money for cancer research!  Please help our class by giving your child some change to fill our box!  We have a classroom goal of $100! We can do it!

Please click on the following link and it will lead you there.  Then explore, try typing in your ideas and see what it will find for you.

1.   type in marvel in your search browser
2.   then click on the link Maine's Virtual Libraries
3.   from there click on Teen Resources
4.   next click on points of view reference center
5.   when it comes up you will see a list of categories
6.   now browse through the list of categories and find something of interest to you
7.   Click on something of interest and read it.  If you see an article with a high lexile level, be careful, try reading something that is along your lexile level.

Homework - March 6

Reading: Continue to work on Independent Reading Goal - Due March 15th. You need to conference over books you have read!

Miss Spitfire Finish extended response for how the feelings have grown between Anne and Helen. This should be a well written response with at least two pieces of evidence of how it was before they moved to the little house and then two examples that show they have grown closer.

Study for Quiz on Friday.

Elephant Run: Write a summary of the section you have chosen.  This was due on Wednesday,     March 6.

Read section 210 - 260 by Wednesday, March 13.

ELA: Research person; listen to a speech from the blog  or a video of person you want to write about.

Social Studies: Finish packet if you are not done; and read over section and questions so you are ready for interview.

Reading: 6S - Miss Spitfire - Finish Book and Inference Wheel - Make sure on the inference wheel you are picking out quotes that support how Anne is feeling about Helen.

Work on independent reading goal:  March 15th is the deadline to conference for the 2nd trimester.
